Outpost Studio SF has been providing post production services for the film and television industry since 1996. At our amazing waterfront location in San Francisco, the Outpost team continues to employ the most current tools and techniques to track foley and ADR, in dialogue editing, mixing and sound designing for films, video games, TV and online media.
Staff
Dave Nelson’s career spans over twenty years in the film, sound and recording industry. As a composer, sound designer and re-recording mixer, his work involves a vast and interesting mix of documentaries, features, shorts as well as albums, several of which have been nominated for Academy, Emmy and Grammy Awards.

Miik Dinko has been praised for his remarkable work achieved by what he calls, “getting inside the head of the director” to come up with dead-on results, often better than could have been hoped for. With his critical ear, Miik instinctively knows what is needed for each project, which he completes in a timely fashion- always meeting his deadlines.

Karl Force is a composer, arranger, mixer, and music editor with over 20 years of experience in music performance and composition. He holds his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz piano performance from San Francisco State University and teaches specialized private piano lessons, incorporating improvisation and studio production techniques with students. Karl frequently collaborates with local artists and producers in the Bay Area, with many contributions to Outpost's film and music projects over the years.
Jim Lively is a specialist in sound design for animation and recording and editing ADR. Throughout his wide-ranging career, Jim has crafted the sound for a variety of projects for film, television or video games. As an experienced sound designer, Jim creates an outstanding sound experience, embellishing the on-screen action.
